We don’t know about you, but humanitarian isn’t the first thing that pops into our minds when we hear the name Cher. For one thing, the outfit she wore to the Oscars a few years back really stands out to us. Our next thought is award winning singer, actress and of course, the other half of Sonny and Cher.
However, Cher has turned into a real activist over the years. Her primary philanthropic works have included healthcare, anti-poverty initiatives, veterans rights and vulnerable children. Her most recent endeavor has been to become the main supporter of a Peace Village school in Uganda.
On November 28th, she is hosting a benefit in LA to premiere the film ‘Love Sees No Color’. This 12-minute film by songwriter and peace activist Nassiri, features songs by children all over the world.
”The premiere of ‘Love Sees No Color’ will be a joyous occasion to
celebrate the mission of achieving world peace,” said Cher. “As the film
shows, music can play a vital role in spreading a message of peace, love
and unity.”
