ROCK FOR DARFUR
On Saturday night, Maroon 5 performed a concert at the Pearl at the Palms in Las Vegas. This was no ordinary show. The show was part of Rock for Darfur. MySpace organized bands across the country, some of which are well known (Maroon 5, Fall Out Boy, Suzanne Vega and Megadeth) and others still up and coming, to bring attention to the situation in Darfur.
The goal of the concert was to send a strong message to the world that this crisis must end now while also raising funds to aid the victims. A portion of the ticket purchase will be donated to the Save Darfur Coalition and Oxfam Sudan Crisis Relief and Rehabilitation Fund to help send aid to the people of Darfur.
